Meal times provide the children with nutritional food whilst socialising with peers and allows them to experience different tastes and sensations, enabling them to express their likes and dislikes. We encourage the children to be independent and offer them the opportunity to prepare their own snacks.
We provide a healthy food for our children following the Stockport Healthy Eating Guidelines and are appropriate for the age and medical background of our children. In addition, we provide milk and water.
At present, we do not provide lunch. Please provide a cold packed lunch in a clearly named box or bag along with a drink if desired (though drinking water is available throughout the day).
Pasta, rice, crackers, and salad are ideal alternatives for those children who are not so keen on sandwiches. As we support Stockport’s Healthy Eating Guidelines, we encourage children to eat a healthy lunch without sweets, keeping crisps and biscuits to a minimum.

Parking Parking is available along Cote Green Lane and Belmont Drive. There is a disabled parking space directly outside our Nursery entrance. Parking is also available in The Northumberland Arms Community Pub car park.
Clothing Children are encouraged to be indpendant so please dress your child in comfortable clothes to allow them to dress/undress themselves (toileting, putting on an apron, changing shoes into slippers/wellies). We do lots of sensory messy play so please dress children in clothes that you don't mind getting paint, mud and silly stew on! We do wear waterproofs and aprons when necessary, but as you know, mess is still inevitable! Please also provide a set of spare clothes in a named bag in case of accidents or water play (this may be left at Nursery on their peg).
We have continuous provision where children can choose to play inside or outside. During the colder months please provide hats, scarves and gloves. During the summer months please apply suncream before your child attends nursery. If you have signed our permission slip we will reapply our suncream when necessary. If you would prefer to provide your own suncream that is no problem at all - please make a note of this on the suncream permission slip. We ask for suncream to be in a bottle with the child's name on to avoid confusion.
